About ZIP JAPAN

Welcome to the online home of ZIP JAPAN Wrestling.

For those of you new to the ZIP JAPAN Pro Wrestling Promotion, here's a little bit of back history...

ZIP JAPAN was founded by Mr. ZIP during the pro wrestling boom of the early 90's. It's a pretty straight forward fed, with a minimum of crazy gimmick matches and garbage wrestling; there is more of an emphasis on aggressive athletic competition. Mr. ZIP (who later became King ZIP) was the first champion and to this date has the longest World Championship reign in the promotion, at 3 1/2 years. He is currently retired from in-ring competition and works tirelessly scouting the world for talent, and booking all the cards. Many wrestlers have come and gone over the years, and the current roster has a mixture of both grizzled veteran workers and talented newcomers. King ZIP's eldest daughter, Reiko, is currently the head referee for ZIP JAPAN. More tidbits of history will be found in the individual bios.

To be eligible to compete in the ZIP JAPAN Junior Division, wrestlers must weigh in at 95 kilos or less 24 hours before match time.
